I tried to see the Ueno Great Buddha that has just been rebuilt.
Although it was a hot day when the record for the highest temperature was broken, it was not a burden for me since the Great Buddha was situated not too far from the station.
Afterwards, I came and saw the Great Buddha that I had wanted to see for such a long time. I was deeply impressed by the statue that reproduced old Ueno Great Buddha perfectly.
Looking at the face, which was full of mercy, a very peaceful feeling came over me.
I prayed with my hands unintentionally, wishing that Japan and the world would become better in the future.
Since it was during the summer vacation, many children came to see it, and I thought this resulted in a good setting.
I think that, from now on, I will come often to see him, since I live in Shibamata, near Ueno.
